Fall looks brighter with these weekend getaways that celebrate the season. Changing leaves, crisp air and Affluent Passport connections make these East Coast road trips worth the splurge. From local wineries and farmers markets to horseback riding and spa time, there is something for everyone.

Twin Farms | Barnard, Vermont

Surround yourself in the ultimate fall landscape of fiery reds, burnt orange and gold. At Twin Farms, Vermont’s only luxury, five-star property, time slows down for you to reconnect with nature, peruse antique shops, and enjoy farm-to-table meals. The all-inclusive retreat is just three hours from Boston and five hours from New York.

The Reform Club | Amagansett, New York

Nestled in the village of Amagansett, this East Hamptons gem is a perfect hideaway any time of year. In the fall, cozy up to your private wood burning fireplace after a day visiting the local East End vineyards. Make time to indulge in your oversized bedrooms with walk-out patios, marble bathrooms and rain showers. When it’s time to explore, walk or hop on a complimentary bike to the beach or nearby farmer’s market. We’ll have local goodies waiting for you when you return.

Troutbeck | Amenia, New York

The Hudson Valley is dream for fall travel. Rolling hills, beautiful wineries and endless nature trails set the backdrop for one of our favorite historic manors. At Troutbeck, explore 250 acres of lush forests, bubbling brooks, and even a secret walled garden. At just 100 miles from NYC, it’s easily accessible by car or train.

Ocean House | Rhode Island

Ocean House is one of the best kept secrets on the Rhode Island shore. Its timeless Victorian elegance captures the grand feel of the area’s turn-of-the-century summer estates. This fall welcomes the opening of Fondue Village, North America’s first in-gondola dining experience. The Artisan in Residence Program features workshops with notable New England artists.

Winvian Farm | Morris, Connecticut

Just two hours from Boston or New York City, this beautiful corner of Connecticut is home to a delightful collection of luxury resort cottages. With names like the Library, or the Treehouse, set high above the forest, each unique cottage excites the imagination. Nearby White Memorial Foundation has 4,000 acres for afternoon hikes, horseback riding, and plenty of leaf peeping.

Chatham Bars Inn | Chatham, Mass

At Cape Cod’s Most Beautiful Beachside Address, September and October are favorite months of locals and guests alike. The “secret summer” is a quieter time filled with fine weather and days meant for chilling on the beach and exploring Cape Cod. Set out to sea on a private whale watching adventure or day trip to nearby Nantucket. Back on land, test your chef skills with private cooking classes ending with a delicious meal.
