Kenyan Photo Safari with photographer Kelly Fajack - Sept 29 - Oct 10

Most bucket lists have “African Safari” right at the top. It’s called “The greatest wildlife show on Earth” and after just a few hours of being on your first safari you’ll agree. You will see the planet Earth in its most natural form. With travel photographer Kelly Fajack as your guide and instructor you’ll journey to intimate locations in the Samburu and Maasai Mara National Parks. There you’ll witness a diversity of big and small game wildlife against the beautiful Kenyan savannah, and visit the local tribes. You’ll experience Kenyan hospitality at it’s best. Every part of your trip has been planned in detail so you can relax and enjoy your African experience. Everyday your breakfast will be ready when you awake, dinner and a cold drink after your game drive. The only thing you’ll lift is your camera. While on safari Mr. Fajack will help you hone your photography skills and help you identify compelling elements of an image like lighting, framing and composition. You’ll be taught how to use manual settings on your camera that put you in control of your photography and enhance its beauty. There will be ample time for each guest to receive one on one tips and instruction on techniques like motion panning, rule of thirds, polarizing filters and astrophotography. Via screen sharing each traveler will also receive an hour of Photoshop instruction once you’re back home and you’ve narrowed it down to your best shots. Limited to 12 guests.

This is a ten day trip with eight full days in the parks “on safari.” Day one: You’ll arrive in Nairobi and be welcomed at the Eka Hotel. Day two: Breakfast at the Eka Hotel then a minibus to the Simba Lodge in the Samburu National Reserve. You’ll enjoy a quick lunch and then go straight into the first game drive that afternoon. Throughout the afternoon Kelly will be having one on one instruction with each guest to see where everyone is in their photography knowledge and making sure your camera is set up correctly. You’ll cap the day off with a traditional dinner at the hotel. Day three: Breakfast at Simba Lodge and a morning game-drive. After lunch we’ll rest then back out for an afternoon game-drive and overnight at Simba Lodge.
